Migration From Dual Stack PI to SAP PO7.4

Hi Everyone,

We are planning to migrate dual stack PI7.30 to SAP PO7.4 and below are the options which we are planning for:

Option 1 :

--->Migrating classical interfaces into ICO using migration tool

--->Splitting Java stack from ABAP stack using the Dual stack split functionality from SAP.

--->After step 2 i believe we have only AEX which will not support BRM and BPM and it can't be a Process Orchestration Package.I have a plan to upgrade AEX to SAP PO.Since AEX will be on separate instance.(I doubt upgrade can be done or not.)

--->After successful migration we have a plan to decommission the ABAP stack. Can we do this?If i choose this option can i save some bucks to my client?

Option 2:

--->Brand new SAP PO 7.4 box

--->Migrating from PI730 dual stack to SAP PO using migration tool

I already tried with option 2 in sandbox and i have migrated few interfaces and it really went well.

I wanted to go for the best option in terms of hardware and software license and cost.We don't have more no of interface so migrating is not a constraint in both cases. We don't have any ccBPM interfaces

--->SLD content in option 1 is not a problem however in option 2 do i need go for SLD synchronization to import content(Product, SWCV,TS and BS) from dual stack to new SAP PO7.4

Please suggest the best option.

Cheers

Pavan
